Who is Dr. Debbie?
As the founder of DRD Equity Consulting, Dr. Debbie Mixon Mitchell partners with organizations to transform equity commitments into institutional reality. She brings over 20 years of specialized Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging expertise and a Ph.D. in Intercultural Communication to her work of developing structural frameworks that embed equity into an organization's DNA.
An accomplished executive coach, leadership development trainer, conflict transformation facilitator, and higher education adjunct professor, Dr. Debbie excels at identifying systemic barriers and designing evidence-based interventions that lead to measurable change and organizational success. Her leadership has driven significant results, including increasing BIPOC faculty hiring from 16% to 41% in just three years – transitioning equity commitments into institutional reality.
